Armada was a popular and profitable paperback imprint from the 1960's through to the 1980's, published by May Fair Books Ltd. They published a number of famous children's authors, including Malcolm Saville, Enid Blyton, Richmal Crompton, and Frank Richards.
 This paperback edition started with Magnet reprints, switched to the post World War 2 Bunter books, and then went back to Magnet reprints. They were published at irregular intervals from May 1965 through to August 1972. The initial books sold for 2/6, increasing to 3/6 with number 9 (which became 17 ½ pence once the UK went decimal), with number 13 onwards selling for 20 pence.
