The Boys Friend was a long running weekly story paper for boys, whose sales were flagging when Charles Hamilton was asked to create a new series of school stories for the paper. He created Rookwood School and wrote short stories under the pen name Owen Conquest from 1915 onwards. This part of the site is still under construction and more details will be added soon.
