From the 19th August 1933 the Nelson Library was amalgamated with The Gem, and the St. Frank's stories continued for a period of time as the main serial story at the back of the Gem. The stories started off with the continuation of the China series reprint running when the 4th series of the Nelson Lee Library folded. Stories of St. Frank's continued to be popular after the Gem serials ended, with many of the classic series from the 1st series of the Nelson Lee Library being reprinted in the Schoolboys Own Library.
